Te Tuhi

On Tuesday Class 4 went to Te Tuhi art gallery. We made painting. Then we gave our wet painting to Jeremy then put it on the stairs to dry so we took someone else what they painted . So we waited to everybody to finish.Then we started to drawing then jeremy told is draw about home,culture,interest,family.After  everyone finish we went to go look at some pictures and watched some films and talk about it and when it was made.

Emapthy Explanation

Empathy is  important around the world. What does Empathy mean ?.It means helping other people and caring for when they are feeling sad or lonely and supporting them when they are winning something

Empathy means putting yourself you someones shoes If the world didn’t have empathy the world will be miserable. and respecting other people and teachers. If the world were empathetic whole world will be useless if people were kind to each other.

We looked at the animation La Luna and we had to write a descriptive paragraph of the opening scene.

All about Kabaddi one person in the other team has to take a big breath.Has to say Kabaddi and he has to tag the person and try to make it back.Or you can jump on them and you have to waste their time.

‘‘Kia ora’’said Aroha as these people walked in the hall.This person named Lucky he had facial expressions on his face and eyes.When they started their performance I saw the man do his pukana face.

Drumming at assembly

As me and Mohammed walk into the hall. We seen some drums on the stage There was wooden drums that was the cook islands. Sergeant Brent had a drum kit.

Sergeant Brent played his drum kit first. He played a cool  beat then it went faster and louder. And he went on for a little bit then he stopped.

When The Cook Islands play their drums it was cool. These were much faster and much more louder than Sergeant Brent’s drum kit. But Sergeant brent one had a meaner beat then the Cook island drummers.

Welcome to Volcano Island.The cars will race inside the volcano!The finish line is at the top the ground begins to shake.The race begins the car drive at full speed.The race is tight the cars hit ramp and launch into the air.some cars do not make into the cave the green car lands first.Watch out for the pool of lava the lava is rising the racecourse is steep rocks fall on the road the yellow car gets hit.The lava leaps into the air it can destroy the cars.The racecars are burning rubber the lava is getting close. The blue dune buggy is trapped it is out of the race.Other cars are gaining on the green car.The red car hits the green car.The red car breaks free.It is hard to see the finish line.There is too much smoke.The volcano erupts the cars fly in to the air who will win?The green car wins what a blast.

Doodgeball

 At school we did  some dodgeball we have challenge’s.  Practice some days with Mrs T we won 2 games from now we have to take the  strong people we lost 1.

We got lot’s of strong people we got 1 good person who can dodge  fast if you get hit with we have to go sit down on the chair and if you catch a ball another person will come in and the other person will be out.

After the game you have to shake their hands and say good game then you do a chair for the other team and we line up ready for class.

The New building for team 4

Construction began in the holidays for the new team 4 classes. They cleared the site by  moving  some of the old buildings and the playground.They put in concrete blocks for the  foundations to make the building strong and sturdy.Next they are  reinforcing  the  concrete  by putting in steel. It will get  covered with concrete for the  concrete slab.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Leaning  Tower of Pisa, in Italy,is famous because of it’s  tilt.An inscription in the right hand corner above the entrance says construction began  in 1173.It was built as a bell tower for  the cathedral to  help  wake up people to go to church. It was also built to show the wealth and power of Pisa.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa  started to  tilt when they got to the 3rd floor.  It started because the subsoil was too weak, some of the subsoil sunk down.They tried to make  the tower stand straight and tall by constructing 1 side taller than the other.

It has   300s well worn stone steps going up the spiral staircase. Each floor is circular  and has columns,pillars and arches too.At the top of the tower you can see panoramic views around the city of Pisa

On thursday 22th we went to a road show. At tamaki college we went into their  hall.We sat on some chairs tamaki people were at the roadshow there is stuff haven't

seen before. Somoan Language Week

When I first came in the hall something was going to happen.   It was the launch of Samoan language  week.We came and sat on some chairs because someone distinguished guest  was coming. It was the minister of parliament for maungakiekie his name is Sam Lotu Iiga. That’s  why  people were performing. We sang 3 national anthem’s.

The pre school's  from the Samoan  school at the church they came to our school. They were performing  to us.Some people were helping the pre school’s.People were dancing.People from Tamaki came to  Pt England school and performed for us .

At back of  the hall there was name’s on the front of the chair we were not allow to sit on those chairs of the Samoan people. I saw one of my friend his name is Ben.

  We were watching some little clips in the

hall on the big screen.Some people  did a kakaire in Samoan language.
